Who We Are
Cancer Aid & Research Foundation – An Indian Charitable Organization – Established in the year 2001, it is a registered medical NGO and a non-profit Charitable Organization formed with the passionate endeavour of striving endlessly towards the welfare of cancer patients who are underprivileged, without distinction of religion or caste.
Since a decade we have been reaching out to the poor and marginalized cancer patients all over India and have acquired the faith and trust of many poor families that approach us for assistance. Countless people have successfully completed their treatment and are leading a normal life.
Our aims & objectives lend constant support to the poor & needy of our society. We live by the motto of providing as much assistance to the poor patients who suffer from cancer and that they shouldn’t die merely for want of money.

Our Mission is to reach out to poor cancer patients as many as we can and wipe out their tears, bringing a smile on their faces. CARF never restricted its services by only providing medical & financial help to poor cancer patients, but also working hard in all possible corners by performing various activities for the society, which includes patients, doctors, general public and most importantly ‘The Youth of India’ by educating them about the ill effects of consuming tobacco and also spreading detailed information and awareness about early detection of cancer by organizing lectures by eminent doctors, screening various types of films based on cancer in Hindi & English languages in schools, colleges, societies and corporate to create maximum public awareness.

The Vision of CARF is to create a world where cancer survivors live a life which is full of vitality, cancer free and without fear. We call and encourage them to participate in our events so that they can recover and regain themselves after the treatment. In this way we are trying that there should not be any stone unturned to make the life better of cancer patients and in our UNITED FIGHT AGAINST CANCER.
AIMS & OBJECTS OF THE TRUST
To provide monetary, medical and other assistance and help to the needy, deserving and poor people who are suffering from the dreaded disease of Cancer and cannot afford the medical / surgical treatment recommended by the specialist and thereby help them, as far as possible, to lead a healthy and normal life.
To work towards the total care of the cancer as a disease which includes :
Spreading awareness of the dangers inherent in prevailing social practices such as chewing of pan / tobacco / gutkha, smoking, early marriage, multiple pregnancies etc. which are responsible for approximately 70% cancer cases in India.
To initiate steps for the early detection of cancer since it is curable in a majority of the cases with the treatment at that stage.

We use our strategies, skills and techniques to upgrade and improve our fundraising by putting in efforts and energy. This is achieved by our various programs, contacting donors, etc. Throughout the years, CARF has found great success with this campaign. Some of our tactics are:

- To give appeal in News paper is a must because it is impossible to reach to corporate/ individuals personally in order to collect a huge amount of donation. The patients come to us with lots of hope and they belong to very poor family. With the help of newspaper advt. we directly knock at their doors whereby these donors donate generously for this noble cause, which again help us to reach our object and goals.
- These appeals are also printed for sending by post. For giving better help to needy & poor cancer patients, every month we send patient’s appeal to each and every donor. There are more than 50,000 donors in the data base of CARF. All donors are also updated periodically about the health progress of the patients.
- Through social media, face book and by sending emails to our donors we collect funds. We send the patient’s appeal for the required amount along with the patients photograph and a short description of the disease (type of cancer).
- Charity sale is one of our resources to raise funds. We arrange charity sale at various places and we keep Jute Bags, Paper Bags (made by Cancer Patients), Key Chains, Wrist bands, CARF Umbrellas, Pens, Pocket Diaries, Greeting Cards, etc. for sale. All the proceeds received from these charity sales is fully utilized for the welfare of poor & needy Cancer Patients.
